Who is Mark Arminski?

Red Sister archives and tracks the Mark Arminiski handbills. We catalog and research each one so that collectors and enthusiasts can share in their rich history and stories. We who started and run Red Sister feel that Mark Arminski is a great artist and deserves to be recognized. This site is our tribute to his work. You can view his website here.

What are handbills?

Handbills are small printed posters. They usually are about 4.5 inches wide and around 8 inches long. They are printed prior to a concert and distributed to promote the show. Collectors horde and trade them. The handbills you see on this site are all made by the famous Mark Arminski. This site only dwells on his handbills. Mark also prints larger versions of the 'cards', but we do not currently track the larger sizes like we track the smaller handbills. The handbill is usually printed on a heavy stock of paper and the paper color is not always white. The inks used often respond to a black light so they can be a real treat studying with the lights out and the blacklight on.

I was organizing the thumbnail photos on the site and got a phone call on my cell phone while doing it. I thought, gosh, these thumbnails are cool enough to be on a cell phone. So I created this slide show for you to browse through. Once you find the images you like, save them to your desktop and upload them to your cell. Mine look great and very classy!
