What's Red Sister mean?

Well, the name comes from a song by the Melvins. On the Stoner Witch album, there is a song called Revolve. The first set of lyrics goes like this.
"Freedom or lies Step from, walk away
You gotta hold your time You gotta hit it with the right of way
Maybe if you like to fight for any like of what's seen
Either way it's sane Either way it's gotta mean
Red sister might be chokin' But I ain't about that kind
It's a beat with the rhythm of a body that was born to lose two times"

What the hell does that mean? I don't think I can tell you. The Melvins are famous for lyrics that are jumbled, confusing and wonderfully placed to their sound.

The story continues. There are many prints by Frank Kozik (another great Rock Art Artist) that include a red skinned woman with long black hair. She sometimes has a long red tail and very large breasts and occasionally you will see prints with horns on her head. It's not hard to figure out who she is.

I got the name from a combination of these two sources.

I just did some research on the actual term 'red sister' and I found that during the early American 20th century, it was coinage for a prostitute. Interesting. I never heard that before.
