Upon receipt of your encrypted data, our database encrypts it again for permanent storage. This additional encryption step renders your data virtually impregnable against unauthorized users. Our database employs a state-of-the-art encryption technology recently adopted by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).

The 256-bit key Rijndael block cipher encryption algorithm was selected by NIST in October of 2000 as the new Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS) for encryption. In December of 2001, Rijndael replaced DES as the FIP Standard.
